In less than 7 weeks I will be moving in my dorm to begin pageant week! Not a day goes by that I am not busy preparing for the title of Miss Louisiana and I love sharing with you the special moments in between. Thank you for continuing to follow me in My Journey to Miss Louisiana and your endless support-
I am anxious to share with you, my Children's Hospital Fundraiser experience and a glimpse at some of the preparation that went in to this event! But first, I would like to take this time to Congratulate my good friend and CMN supporter, Mr. Johnny Blancher of Ye Olde College Inn and the Rock N Bowl for winning 1st place at the "Louisiana Seafood Cook Off-Navy Week".
Serving as Masters of Ceremony and taking notice of Mr. Johnny's culinary creations, were Local Celebrity Chefs- John Folse and my favorite John Besh!
You can expect Your Miss Louisiana Jazzland to come eat and bowl a few very soon!
Looking forward to seeing you all!
Now the fun... Last week I held another Children's Hospital Fundraiser at Charming Charlie! Before this event, I broke it down in the kitchen doing what I love most- Baking! Hence my beloved platform: "Baking A Difference for CMN"
Mixing a lot of love and jazz into the cupcake batter!
And Voilá! We have baby cakes!
Can't pass up this photo op!
This tank says it all!
Half way there! Now it is time for my favorite part-the icing!
Yep! You guessed it, Chocolate is my absolute fave!
Unfortunately, these sweets are not included in my Miss Louisiana diet, but I am still just as happy to make them for others to enjoy!
One last picture with some of the finished product and of course the crown!
Now it is time to pull this Queen together for the event!
With the baby cakes all packaged and the car packed to head over to Charming Charlie, I take a tiny moment for a photo op! (Yes, girls will be girls when it comes to dressing up and crowns!)
We made it! So excited to discuss my platform and raise funds for Children's Hospital!
The table where Miracles are created! This is where I spent most of the evening educating guests about Children's Miracle Network and the benefits of donating. I was also very excited to raffle items that were especially donated for this event. A very warm Thank You to Publix, Barnes and Noble, MooCheChe Frozen Yogurt, Bath & Body Works and Charming Charlie. I am so grateful for your kind support and generous donations that contributed to benefiting Children's Hospital!
Charming Charlie is certainly a Girl's Dream Come True
Just taking a moment to pose with a couple of our guests throughout their shopping experience!
Ms. Jean Wildenhouse was our first winner of the night- She took home the Bath & Body Works Set!
Ms. Rebecca Trosclair, Thank you for your sweet words of encouragement. I am so happy you could join us on this special evening!
Here are a few of our guests browsing through the many accessories!
Time to pull for another door prize-
You can never get enough Charming Charlie-especially when you're the winner of our last door prize: A Charming Charlie Gift Card!
Look what I found! An AOII! This moment was very special and it is always amazing to meet a sister when you least expect it. Meet Ms. Pat Cooper from Chicago!
I am so grateful to everyone for participation in this fundraiser to benefit Children's Miracle Network. With your donations I am happy to report that I raised over $200.00!
I look forward to sharing my next experience with you. Stay tuned, there are more fundraisers to come! If you are interested in donating to Children's Miracle Network, you are able to do so by going to MissAmerica4Kids.com click on the tab that says "Search for Contestant" and enter in Jamie Lombardino! All you have to do next is hit "Donate Now" and it will allow you to make a secure donation! Remember every dollar counts and you are helping to create miracles for these deserving children. Thank you all!
Much Love and Jazz-
Jamie
